Klara du Plessis is a writer of poetry and prose, recently moved from Montreal, Canada, to Cape Town, South Africa, where she is compiling her first book-length manuscript of poems. Other projects include the premier of Photo Socrates in Vienna, Austria, November 2012, an opera collaboration with composer Clio Montrey. 

2008-2011, Klara worked as poetry and coordinating editor for the international literary journal Scrivener Creative Review. From time to time she organizes her own poetry publication Writing Pamphlet.

Klara holds a MA English Literature degree from McGill University with an emphasis on 20th-century and contemporary poetry.
